LightHearts UK was created to promote holistic therapies & mental wellbeing.

Having previously worked in film & television, LightHearts founder Katya Jezzard-Puyraud had been living in Paris for 10 years raising a family. But her life was completely turned around after discovering the health benefits of holistic massage and mindfulness.

She gained her first degree Reiki training in Paris and then qualified as a Reiki practitioner, also gaining diplomas in Indian Head Massage and Reflexology. 

After moving back to England with her family,  she completed her massage training at the Maidstone School of Complementary Therapygaining a distinction for the Level 3 Massage ITEC diploma. She then completed further training in Brighton to become a qualified Mindfulness Instructor.

Katya, who is a registered member of the Complementary Therapists Association, also started working with a senior psychiatric nurse from a UK National Health Service community care team to provide relaxation & mental wellbeing courses for charities and community classes in Tunbridge Wells. These classes were rolled out in 2017 as a free on-line program to help sufferers of depression and anxiety all over the country and is now being championed by mental health care professionals in the USA.

Her goal is promote complementary and alternative holistic therapy, working with hospitals & residential care homes to treat patients with massage and healing, and to work with more charities & mental health groups teaching relaxation & meditation.
