Credits, Thank Yous & Further Reading
So many generous people donated their time and energy to help us set up the LightHeart's UK mental health project and we would like to thank everyone for their support. We are so grateful and so appreciative of all the services, advice, music and videos that have been donated. We'd also like to list the articles and books that we've found useful and which provide valuable further reading resources.
So we'd like to send out a BIG thank you to....(in alphabetical order):
David Baconnet and Aurelie Bonetti who are French musicians and healing sound therapists from Echos de Soi and both sweetly donated their music for the project. David donated the music on 'Meditation for Insomnia' and 'Negative Energy Clearing', and Aurelie's incredible ethereal flute playing can be heard on 'Tree Meditation for Energy & Light'. You can find out more about David's work by clicking HERE.
Christina Fire-Mane Charley for donating her beautiful track 'Creation Song' which is featured on the video 'Grounding Meditation for Gratitude & Energy'. The track is taken from her album Mama's Home which you can download from firemane.bandcamp.com. (And while you're at it take a look below at her wonderful track Nu Mu which is super relaxing and brilliant to meditate to:
Kat Farrants, founder of the brilliant yoga organisation Movement for Modern Life, for donating the beginners yoga video clip and also for very kindly offering all the LightHearts UK readers a special 20% discount on all subscriptions. All you need to do is click on their website HERE and quote the code LIGHTHEARTS20. And blessings to all of Kat's staff too!
Ryan Glassmoyer - meditation and health coach - for donating her Calming Techniques meditation and for all the good work she gives to the world to make it a happier place. We love you Ryan! You can book your own one-on-one Skype meditations or health coaching with her too. (We can highly recommend her.)
Josie Hadley, founder and director of the California Institute for Medical Hypnosis and the Palo Alto School of Hypnotherapy who kindly donated the script for the video 'Hypnosis for Releasing Fear'. The script was taken from her ground-breaking book Hypnosis for Change.
Artist and designer (and Kat's little sister) Rebecca Jezzard for her exquisite photos of nature that feature on the De-stress with Nature & Music video, the fab photos for the Reiki video and for donating her services in designing the front cover of our book 'Mental Fixits - Reduce Anxiety & Low Mood in 10 Weeks'. More of her gorgeous photos, designs and greetings cards can be found at www.rebeccajezzard.co.uk
Molly Larkin - author and healing practitioner. Her book written with indigenous elder Bear Heart 'The Wind is My Mother' is a big inspiration, as are her books on breathing techniques and her meditation CDs. Find out more about her and subscribe to her mind-opening blog at: http://www.mollylarkin.com/
Jamie More aka music producer Energy Lab who very kindly composed and donated the fantastic track 'Serendipity' especially for the LightHearts UK mental health project which is used on the Candle Gazing and the Reiki Healing meditations. You can hear more of his tracks here and as a bonus Jamie has been a real sweetheart and made the whole Serendipity track free to download here: https://soundcloud.com/energylabmusic
Claire Morris from Claire Morris Photography for the profile photo of Kat who - being horribly unphotogenic - is eternally grateful to the very talented and multi-award-winning Claire for managing to not make her look like the back end of a bus. You can find more of her great photos at www.clairemorrisphotography.com
Dr Elizabeth Stephens, Chartered Clinic Psychologist, for her support and for the explanations and guidance on NHS therapies.
Emma Triplett from Old Town Hypnotherapy for her kind donation of the meditations 'Float Away Stress' and 'Release Your Past'. Emma is not only an experienced hypnotherapist and life coach but she also has a fantastic blog with useful techniques and tips to help with anxiety and depression. She also offers a wonderful free download so click HERE for more information about all of Emma's work.
And a big thank you to supporters of our Mental Health Helpline page - Girl Scout Troop 1318 from Massachusetts - who recommended a very useful page that includes this link from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration of America on the warning signs of emotional distress in children and adults - click here for the link.
